About EarplugsReview.com
EarplugsReview.com is an independent consumer testing platform and database dedicated to hearing protection, sleep quiet, and performance music acoustics. We believe that the biggest mistake consumers make is choosing earplugs based purely on the maximum decibel number printed on the package. Our mission is to help you understand the structural trade-offs of fit, pressure, and frequency response to find the perfect plug for your ears.
Editorial Policy & Disclosures
How We Earn Revenue
To maintain our testing laboratory operations, we participate in direct affiliate programs with top hearing brands (including Loop, Eargasm, and Alpine) which pay 10% to 20% referral fees. If a customer prefers to buy on Amazon, we use Amazon Associates fallback links which pay a standard 3% commission.
Our golden rule: A higher commission rate NEVER influences a product's ranking or comfort score. We routinely recommend cheap disposable foam plugs over expensive silicone models when maximum attenuation is required.
Testing Samples and Independence
We purchase the majority of testing samples independently at retail prices. If a manufacturer provides a sample for review, we disclose it prominently beside the verification status. We never allow manufacturers to review, approve, or alter editorial copy prior to publication.
Corrections Procedure
We track product reformulations, discontinued lines, and safety updates. If you spot a pricing error, outdated rating, or incorrect dimension spec in our database, please contact our team. We aim to verify and implement database corrections within 48 hours.
Community Owner Survey Form
Have you owned a pair of Loop, Eargasm, or Mack's plugs for more than 2 weeks? Share your physical wear outcomes to help build the world's largest independent fit dataset.
